Very serious delay in connecting broadband Complaint Logged: Oct 22 2009 9:56AM

I applied for a second time to receive Broadband Service with BT last May 2009. Still no result in this area. I will not list the catalogue of reasons for the delay as there are far to many. The latest being "It is the councils fault as they are delaying in cutting back the trees for the line access." I do not receive my telephone service through BT. I receive my service with Utility Warehouse which covers my Mobile Phone Dial up service for the internet and my Electricity. They of course rend the telephone line from BT. Utility Warehouse claim they were unable to provide broadband due to problems expressed from BT. I then tried Talk Talk, Virgin, Sky, who said the same. So I asked BT if I could have Broadband with them, they said yes but still no joy. I live at the bottom of a Valley where mobile phones do not work. There are only half a dozen houses in the Hamlet and I am they only one without Broadband. Not all my neibours receive the Broadband with BT. I appear to have a DACS on the telephone line!!!. At the last problem with the overhead telephone line, the engineer who did the repair said there were enough wires in the cable to remove the DACS so that I will no longer be shareing the line by way of the DACS. He is the engineer so I assumed he knew what he was talking about. Please can this be sorted ASAP. Dial up is painful, as frequently you are mid way with an e-mail when you loose the connection. I am feeling rather desperate by now as you can immagine. I have been very patient, please do something now. Regards Georgina M. Ford

I have not telephoned and shouted at anyone, been rude ect, but I originally applied for Broadband in 2008, it is now February 2010. Please can a person either e-mail me or telephone me and talk to me to explain why I am being denighed Broadband. I get computer voices now and then just saying "sorry your Broadband has been delayed, there will be a further update ect" What is the problem. I frequently see engineers in the lanes who advise me that there are plenty of wires in the lines, there is no reason why the DACS cannot be removed. Many have said it is because I do not use BT as my service provider. Is this true. You have to admit I have been very patient. I have written to Mr Gordon Brown on this issue. I know he is very busy, but someone will make a note and perhaps look into this. What is the real reason for the delay. I have had reasons given that you are waiting for the council to cut back the trees to expose the lines. Well it is mid winter now and you can see every exposed line very clearly. Please can this be given priority. Even you must admit enough is enough. Please can I have my Broadband order completed.

It has been close to three years now since I oriiginally ordered Broadband. I have never received a letter as to the real reason I cannot have the DACS removed from my telephone line. All I ever receive are voice texts in a very metalic voice. Not even a real person telephones me. I am pleeding with you or someone to look into this with urgency and tell me the real reason I have not yet received Broadband. Is it really because I do not have BT as my service provider? That is what has been suggested by several telephone engineers that I have talked to while travelling around. Everytime I see a BT Engineer working on the telephone lines, even the one who came recently to fix my faulty telephone cable could not understand the problem, and could see no reason why the DACS has not been removed!!! Please can this be given priority. Three years really is beyond a joke. I have been so very patient. Please help. Regards Georgina Ford

Another Month has elapsed and still not sign of BroadBand. However you have managed to find time to produce leaflets asking people to enjoy Broadband and TV Free for 3 months with BT. Is this the answer. Will I only get Broadband if I have BT as my service previder? If this is really the case please let me know. I will not make a fuss. I will have another telephone if that is the answer. I am desperte to get Broadband. You must admit three years is really taking the micky, even more so than your leaflets. The weather is fantastic, the leaves are not yet is full flow on the trees covering the cables. (This was given as an excuse once before) The Council are digging up every road you drive down so there are lots of trenches ready dug for your cables, so please can I have broadband. If you do not like me and do not want to give me Broadband, say so. Just do something positive and let me know. REgards Georgina Ford
